Am I pregnant? I'm 17 and my last period was on the 27th of April it finished on the 1st of may and I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 2nd of may. I've had a few symptoms headaches, mood swings, I'm hungry all the time, my breast are tender but only if I poke at them, some nausea but not regular and not every day and I can't stand the smell of chips anymore when I used to love them also even though I'm not due for another two weeks I've been having really bad cramps that feel like period pains but a but different spreading from one hip to the other and are really painful. Also feeling tired/sleeping all the time when before I had difficulty sleeping.

First off... I don't know who told you there are "Pregnancy symptoms" like those... but they are wrong.

Second... you had sex AFTER your last period... and its not time for your next one yet... so not only is there know way of knowing yet... as you aren't "Late"... its still way too soon to even test for it. You have to wait until you are at least two weeks late first. Or you can count on false or even real negatives.

You could be pregnant. There are over the counter pregnancy tests that can give accurate results within a couple days of conception. Get one and use it. No two pregnancies are the same. Just because you don't have all the same symptoms as the ones you most often hear about doesn't mean anything. Put your mind at rest and get a test. If you're not pregnant, don't ever have unprotected sex again. Never leave your protection up to your partner. It's your body and you need to be responsible for it.Good Luck.

And... if the test is taken too soon, it will probably show a negative anyway... testing too soon gives you nothing. Stick around this site for a while and read the 100's of "Am I Pregnant" questions each month... you will see that even when they take these tests, the majority don't believe them anyway. On top of that, testing too soon is a waste of time and money.

Jenny, do what smoothy suggested and wait it out and see if you get your next period.
