    My dome light, gear indicator light, radio, gear select for 4 wheel drive, tach,speed and lighters will not work. Can a light switch
    Be the problem

    Unlikely. Instead, test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

    In the old days, switches actually switched power to those lights. However, in late model vehicles, the switches just act as a signal to the body control module and it's the control module that switches power. Or, the control module provides ground to a relay that switches power.

    So without the year of your vehicle and the engine size, it's pretty hard to look up the wiring diagram to see what you've got.

    Either on or near the light switch is a dimmer control that may have a manual on/off position. Check it.
