    My dog has a lump
I found a lump under my dogs skin on the scruff of her neck. We want to take her to the vet but if its anything seroius we don't have the money to pay for it all. We tried to get pet insurance but they won't cover a dog who is sick already what do I do? Is this lump something serious what can it be.. I love my baby girl and we are very worried

What does the dog already have? At least by taking him to the vet you can find out what it is then decide what to do, if it is something serious delaying bringing the dog to the vet will only make it worse, it might be nothing though and it would be good to know.

Some vets will do the work for free if people cannot afford it, but I guess that depends where you live. In the UK you can contact the PDSA who will be able to give some advice on if you qualify for free care, or even the RSPCA.

A lump can be many different things. Yes, have the vet examine it and determine what it is. Many older dogs develop fatty tumors and there is no pressing need to remove them. If it is a fast growing cancer, you will have to work things out the best you can.

It is much less common for younger dogs to develop lumps. Please post back and let us know what the vet says.
