    Glacier bay shower faucet valve
Hi I recently bought a house and the showers were not giving out any hot water. When I take the valve out the hot water has lots of pressures and gets hot. So I know that the valve is the problem on both showers. Can someone show be tell me how to fix it?

The cartridge has small holes that can get plugged. Look into the cartridge or try to blow compressed air through. If you get HW into the valve body, it has to be the cartridge. The fact that it is hot on both seems to suggest wou may be having dip tube issues. Remove a sink aerator and look for white sand looking debris.

Another possibility. The check valve springs on some glacier bay tub/shower faucet models must be replaced with stronger springs. Check valve problems result in failure to produce hot water at the faucet and/or a banging sound in your hot and cold water pipes when water is turned on or off anywhere in your house. Glacier Bay will send you replacement springs if you call their support hotline: 1-888-328-2383.
