I am wondering to what extent attraction to the opposite sex in men is influenced by the norms and images used within each culture to indicate beauty.

Recently I have traveled overseas and have noticed that different norms in relation to what is "pretty or attractive"; have influenced what I consider "pretty or attractive" both within and outside that culture.

People who have lived overseas might have some interesting insights on the way attraction is influenced by society/culture and images.

What does that have to do with your comment that your husband is no longer attracted to you?

If you spend time overseas you would find out infidelity is far more common and can be very overt... from what I've seen first hand. Having spent enough time overseas.

Since we are an international site with members in the US, India, Australia, France, etc. what do you consider 'overseas'?
