What body type am I? (ecto, meso, endomorph)
I am curious to see what body type I am and all the sites on the internet don't give formulas for determining body type; they just give general descriptions. Well growing up, I had a really skinny phase (around age 5) and a pretty chubby phase (around age 9-10) and another skinny phase (around age 14) before evening out to a more natural size.

I am not sure what details I need to share, but I'll start with the general stuff.

    I am 18 yrs old
    I am a guy
    I am 5 ft 10, 150-155 lbs.
The waist size for my pants is 30-32 in

That's not enough info for us to tell. Look at this site -- Your Body Type - Ectomorph, Mesomorph or Endomorph? | Muscle & Strength

I looked at this site and found that I have characteristics from all groups. Plus some of the descriptions are very objective... for example an ectomorph has a "small “delicate” frame and bone structure". I dont consider my frame to be "small or delicate" but many bigger guys have told me that I'm a small guy.

Your best bet is to ask a doctor or even someone who can actually see you up close and personal.

Are you small and skinny/puny or so-so or chunky?

I think I am of average build. What I am getting from most articles is that ectomorphs are skinny, mesomorphs are buff, and endomorphs are fat. There isn't really anything about those who are right in the middle of the bmi chart but not really buff either

From your description so far, I'm guessing meso. You don't have to be "buff."

I thought all this stuff was pretty much given up on by the science world quite a while ago.
It was 'invented' to try to identify criminal types in advance, and of course failed dismally, after being taken seriously for several years.

Do you mean they used it for profiling?
