Hi. I got my tongue pierced yesterday. And its also white on top. And still swelled a lot. At the bootom there is white stuff and a little bit of blood. It alo feels asif the piercing is not straigt like the bottom ball is more to the right and the top one in the centre? Will that cause any problems? And the one side of my tongue hurts more than the other one?

Hi Amorie - First, I'm not a doctor, but I have had experience with this, as I used to sport a number of piercings, including the tongue. It's actually quite common for the tongue to swell and hurt after piercing, as it is traumatic. This condition usually lasts up to a week. You will talk a bit funny, but once the swelling begins to subside, the bar should straighten out a bit. I suggest you use a peroxide based mouthwash after brushing and meals. This will not only aid in healing and recovery, but minimize the possibility of infection. Hope this helps!
