I want to get out of here, but I can't afford it yet. The home owner wants me to just jump out on the street ready or not ( there has been no eviction notice yet but I expect one. I came home to find derogatory and even profane statements about me written all over the ceiling and doors of the room I sleep in. Do I have any recourse?

Recourse for what? Take pictures of what was written on the doors and ceiling. Call the police and report it as harassment.

If he gives you an eviction notice you will have at least 30 days before you have to vacate.

I don't think "harassment" is a crime as such.

Depends on terms of rental, illegal entry, terroristic threats perhaps, depending on what was written
