Light fixture with 3 wires to a 2 wire connection box
I bought a new ceiling pendant that has 3 wires labeled L, N and the 3rd has a T shaped symbol on it. My ceiling connection box only has 2 wires. What do I need to do?

Are the wires of the fixture color-coded? Most fixtures will have (a) a black wire, which is the "hot" and is connected to the black (or possibly red) lead in the ceiling box, (b) a white wire (neutral) which connects to a white wire in the box, and (c) a bare wire (ground), which gets connected to either a bare ground in the box or if conduit is used (and hence no separate ground wire) to the metal box itself.
