    Extreme Stress About EtG Test
Two Fridays ago, from 10pm to 2am I drank a lot, 11 beers or so at 5'11" 215lbs... the following Thursday I took an EtG at 5pm... 132 or so hours after my last drink. A few questions...

    1) Does the 80+ hours timeframe start after your very last drink or after your body is done completely metabolising the alcohol? [if that even makes sense], Which, in that case would probably be about 108 or so hours [24 hours after last drink].

    2) Does regularity of use come in to play? I hardly ever drink.

    3) Do you think my court supervisor was trying to scare me [and a few others] by saying the EtG test can and will detect if you've been drinking up to 7 days.

It is Sunday night now, Monday morning, can't eat, can't sleep. So scared yet not sure if I should be. Can anyone validate my CS claims or maybe put my fears aside?

Oh, and just for reference it was the urine EtG test, not salival.

Drank Friday, EtG the following Thursday? Hope you drank a lot of water, but odds are you should be fine. Idk if you can read my other thread about the EtG but I'm drinking now and have a test on Wednesday and am not worried at all.

Here was my response to the other thread about EtG tests: https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/addict...ml#post3457178

Btw, if you do fail can you please post and let me know. I am kind of curious about the different "levels" that different testing centers use. Some of them will even detect mouthwash. Nonetheless, you should be fine.

It starts when it starts metabolizing or "affects your system". So, basically, the second the alcohol starts affecting you.

Yes it does. It actually helps if you drink more often, ironically, but you drank like 6 days before your test. You will not fail. Drink lots of water now for the next two days until you pee clear for 24 hours. Eat sht tons of protein after that. Keep drinking water but not enough to dilute.

    3) Do you think my court supervisor was trying to scare me [and a few others] by saying the EtG test can and will detect if you've been drinking up to 7 days.

Yes, but don't rely on that. They do do that though. The test actually does not measure that far. LOL. I remember falling for that one too... it is scary and it is supposed to be.

You will be OK. You are lucky. I did DUII diversion and passed every single test while drinking the whole time. Just don't drink again or ever cut it any closer.

Thank you. One more question that you probably won't have an answer for but what the heck, might as well ask. I know the sample was sent to the lab Friday morning... the lab is quite literally connected to the place... do you think that I'd be told of a fail by tuesday-wednesday latest? Otherwise he won't even tell me, that's the crazy part. I've tested 4 times for them the last 6 months and not once have I been told the result. This time a confirmation would be great but also a tad suspicious to pry out.
