I have a 89 s10 blazer that I was towing a trailer down a highway on a windy day and the transmission starting pooring out fluid so I pulled over and we got a trailer and took it home. 2 weeks later I took it off the trailer to fix and started it up and it is not leaking a drop of fluid now. I really thought I blew the torque converter or the seal but now I don't know. Does anyone have an idea of what happened. Also when I pulled it off the trailer the radiator plug is leaking a lot but the radiator is full of water. I am confused. Help me

Could you determine where the trans fluid was coming from when you were towing? Does the TB have a tow package or is it standard?

I believe it was coming from the bottom of the transmission through the inspection cover. This is a standard car

You simply had a transmission boil over, due to overheating. Here's what I would do:

. Drop and clean pan; change ATF and filter. With a higher coefficient of heat, synthetic ATF would likely have prevented this. The higher COH carries heat away from bearings faster and allows transmissions to run much cooler (50 degrees F). Every 25 degree increase in an auto. Transmission's temperature cuts its life in half.
. Install an auxiliary transmission cooler.
