I have had my bellybutton pierced for about 6 yrs with no problem, lately it has been very painful and red, it hurts on the inside where the metal is, I took it out but I am afraid of it closing up because is was painful to have it done, what would you suggest I do?

Clean the area well with salien solution, follow with anti bacterial ointment and put a plastic one in. sometimes just different metals mess with your body, so if you go with and acrylic one and keep up with the salien solution you should be good.
