Ok so almost a month ago I had some brown stuff in my panties. Then about 30 minutes ago when I was about to get in the shower I used the bathroom I wiped and I had just a very small bit of blood and it wasn't very red.. Just really light.. So did I start? Please help! Tips please

It does sound like you are starting your period. Have you discussed this with your mother? There are things you will need that she can get for you.

Well.. I haven't lately. When I had discharge she talked to me about it. I'm nervous and I feel kind of uncomfortable talking about it.. I'm going to just wait until tomorrow because she's in bed right now. I will try and catch her when she's alone. Any tips on how to tell her?

Tell her like my daughter told me. Sure she was nervous, but she sucked it up and waited until we were alone, then she just blurted out... "hey, Mom, I think I just started my period." She was your age.

I know it's embarrassing, but we all go through it, and at 11 there's no way you can buy the supplies you'll need, by yourself.

Just sit down with mom and tell her what's going on. The great things about moms are that they're girls too, and they've been through this.

I didn't start mine until I was 14, it was Christmas eve. My mom didn't say a word about it to anyone at my Oma's Xmas party (annual thing). She did tell my dad, but the only reason I knew that was because my mom told me she did. My dad didn't say a word about it to me, I think he was just as embarrassed as I was. ;)

That's how some first periods start. It will probably get heavier by tomorrow, or the next day. You'll have to ask your mom for a pad, even if it is only spotting. It can go from spotting to a full on period when you least expect it. Wearing a pad is a lot better than being embarrassed because you bled through your clothes.
