I am on probation with a DUI Felony conviction. I know I need permission from the Judge to leave the country. I tried calling my PO today but she will not be in the office till Monday today being Friday. I left her a voice message this morning and told her it was an emergency for me to leave. I need to meet with her on Wednesday for my monthly visit. I was thinking of calling her on Tuesday and telling her that I am ill and if I can reschedule. Is there a way she can find out that I left the country? Or am I just risking way too much here?

You are risking way too much... every time you cross the border... they know it... and when its filters back... they will violate you and put you back in.

Wait until you get official permission.

Well how about this... you said you left her a message saying you need to leave... so when you then call on Tuesday and claim to be sick, you don't think she will then check up on you? I'm sure she's not a complete idiot.

When you appear at the border they will find you on a watch list and detain you.

You don't leave UNTIL and UNLESS you get permission first... and you knew this before you made plans... or expect to pay the price... with your freedom.

You do realize that telling a PO you have an emergency will just piss her off? Emergencies aren't allowed without permission. If your doctor told you that without a special treatment in another country you will be dead in 2 days - maybe. Or a parent is going to be dead in 2 days - maybe. But still, permission is needed (sorry, don't shoot the messenger.)

What is your emergency?

If this is an emergancy, you call the office and ask to talk to the PO in charge of her cases while she is out. You go in and file paper work for emergancy permission, you will need proof of the emergancy
