We have a 24 ft. Above Ground Pool with a Centre Drain... I've just hooked up the hoses to the pool and topped up the water... Turned on the Pump and the Return is Sucking not Pumping... There's 2 hoses leading from the Pump , one on top of the motor and the other comes out the Filter Basket on the end.. I think I have them reversed?? I have the hose from the Skimmer going to the Pump Motor and the Hose from the Filter to the Filter Basket on the end of the Pump... Can someone Help and Untwist Me... Thanks

Normally water comes from the skimmer, through the filter and then to the pump and then pressurized water to the pool jets or supply. The only time you pressurize the filter is when backwashing.

@ ma0641, Thanks for the Comeback... Once I had everything hooked up and the Pump turned on when the Return was Sucking I knew I had things Twisted... I was having a Senior Moment drawing a Blank , but all is Well and the Hoses are Correctly hooked up now... We went right from Winter to Summer like weather almost over night , Management is anxious to have the Pool clean and running soon... I'm seriously putting a plug in for those Quick Connect couplers.. It would save on Clamps , Dabbing dish soap inside the hose and grunting jamming the hoses on... LOL... Thanks
