I have a sentencing hearing this week in Oregon, Ohio. My charges are menacing and disorderly conduct. What is the possibility of probation rather than jail time.I have not had any contact with the victim. My past criminal record is not very lengthy. I have however had one assault conviction.

We can't possibly know. 'Not very lengthy' is too vague, and you don't say what you actually did, past or present. In a lot of jurisdictions they will want to throw you in jail but won't, just because of overcrowding, or they will give you a very short time, like 30-60 days.

With one conviction for violence in your past, I DOUBT they'll let you stay on the street. My guess is at LEAST 60 days.
