I have a pregnant patient reported that there are spots of blood in her underwear and when she urinated she noticed that her urine is reddish to orange, v/s are take she is actually hypertensive bp- 210/170, pr-110, rr- 32, temp-36.0 she said she got nervous when she saw blood spots on her undies. She do have an anti-hypertensive medication prescribed by her obgyn. We tried to contact her obgyn but unfortunately she is unreachable at this moment, I advised her to rest in our sleeping quarter's flat on bed with pillows underneath the buttocks and currently monitoring her vital sign and will later check if her status is bleeding or only spotting, it's still dawn here in the philippines that's why we can't contact her obgyn. Thanks, please give me more advices.

I am, quite frankly, astonished and dismayed that a Nurse would go on line and ask about the proper treatment for a patient.

All of the emergency rooms are closed where you are?

It's 3:31 a.m. right now in the Philippines. There are no other doctors around or her doctor's answering service?

We have a nurse here who answers questions. I'm always amazed at her knowledge. I find your questions difficult to understand if you are also a nurse.

Well actually it's an obgyn case in which it is a very complex case that needs extra precaution in giving interventions

I believe that the reason why I am asking is that I know that there's someone greater than me that can help me... I already did the standard first nursing management and I am inquiring for more information that a more and advanced experienced nurse especially if they had their specialization in a specific field... I read the thread that Judy linked to. You're a nurse and you don't even know that a man ejaculating on your chest, will not lead to pregnancy, and you don't know the side effects of the morning after pill. That's alarming.

That's why we're questioning your qualifications to be treating this person. You don't seem to even know how pregnancy works, so how can you possibly treat a pregnant woman?

Tell her to go to the hospital if her doctor is unavailable. You can't help her.

Having multiple users on one account is against the rules of this site. We base our answers not only on what's asked, but also previous posts. It's very clear based on not only this post, but previous posts, that you do not have the expertise to be a nurse. I highly doubt that you, or anyone else supposedly using this account, are in that field of expertise.

If you are a nurse you should know that going online to find help for your patient, is not a good idea. There's no way anyone online, not even a doctor, can diagnose what's going on. The only option for this "patient" of yours, is to seek medical help, either with her OBGYN, or at the hospital. Either way, you're not qualified to care for her, and the very fact that you think someone online will be able to help, further solidifies my above theory.

There is to be only ONE user per account. Accounts are free and easy to make. Please do that for each person wanting to be on this site.

No one, professional or not, is going to give you a plan for medical treatment over the Internet. It would be bad enough if you were asking for yourself. Instead you are asking for another person!

And as far as multiple users - odd, "all" of you use the same spelling and grammar. Very odd indeed.

There are multiple medical "professionals" where you work who go to an online site - an open forum where anyone can post their advice, without proving their credentials - to determine how to treat your patients?

I am getting the sense that one of a few things could be happening. One is the possibility that you might be pregnant yourself, and for some reason are avoiding getting real medical care. Or, perhaps you are trying to provide medical care for someone who should go to the doctor but is kept from going for some reason - perhaps being held against her will? Perhaps the pregnancy is the result of molestation or incest?

I do not believe you are a nurse. You don't even understand how pregnancy works, and without such basic knowledge, you could not have passed a nursing curriculum. Why don't you start over with the truth of your entire situation, and perhaps someone can help you better than.
