I have only hot water and no cold. How do I adjust to start cold and rotate to hot. I got the red collar off but I am afraid to force the white tab to move and break it

Hi cj33 and welcome, you will get a better answer to your question with more info, exactly what are you working on? Bathtub/shower? Post the model of faucet and one of the expert plumbers will assist. Good luck
We need more info about your faucet, can you tell us more or post a picture of it?
What brand is the valve? Where is it used? A model number would help. Back to you Tom
Thanks so much for your help. I am new to this forum and still learning how to use it. I have a pic of the cylinder but I don't know how to attach it to my response (Sorry, not a computer wiz). I think I could send it to an email address
Unfortunately, no model number. The faucet in an aqua source single handle for a shower/tub. It is only about 3 years old so I suspect rust or corrosion would not be a problem. As I mentioned, I have removed the handle, screw, collar, and red ring but I was not able to rotate the white tabs to adjust the temperature. I was afraid to force it because I didn't want to damage the dial. I have hot/cold water in the bathroom sink but the tub only gives me very hot water. No cold or cool water. I believe the water lines and suspect the problem in in the cylinder.
I just purchased this property and I know the faucet was working fine. I suspect the former owner may have done something to the faucet to create this situation.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi again cj, below is a link that shows how to post a picture.

I was just checking to see if anyone had any ideas about how I might be able to adjust the temp on my single handle aqua source diverter cylinder. See previous posts and pic for more detail
Thanks
Try turning the white disk clockwise.
The white disk is so tight that I can't turn it. I'm afraid I might snap off the tabs or damage the disk
Probably have to loosen the red disk a turn or two. To do that you will probably have to remove the chrome cover. Which should screw off.
I believe both the red and white disc should pull straight out. Then you can rotate them and push them back in. Most likely on a splined setup.
