The rear right wheel on my John Deere 14SB model keeps breaking off several time a season. It shears off at where the wheel bolt screws into the body of the deck. I'm having to drill out the broken screw and replace it. I've asked the dealer and they said that it may be the washer placements. I tried that and it still shears off.

Anyone ever run into this?

Usually it is binding because the arm it attaches to is just slightly bent. Try finding a long straight surface; could be a straight 2x4, and see if the wheel is actually straight when mounted. Washer placement can go it also, but it will genearlly bind when the bolt is tightened. Wear on the surfaces that meet to tighten the wheel/bolt down can do it ,also.
