    Infertility
I have been trying to get pregnant but I know you can't without a period. My period comes on once every few months since I stopped taking birth control. What do I do?

    How old are you?

Have you seen a doctor about this? Some women have strange menstrual cycles, but if this is abnormal for you, you should consult a doctor.

    And do what Ben suggested.

Have you expressed your want to get pregnant with the doctor? Or do they put you on the birth control to get you stabilized before getting pregnant?

They are trying to help stabilize me. My period will not come on once I'm off birth control well maybe once every 5-6 months.

Has your doctor done any tests to find out why your periods are irregular?

Probably a good idea. Not having your period for months at a time isn't really considered normal, so if they can figure out what's causing this abnormal delay, maybe they can fix it so you can get pregnant.
Good luck, and let us know if you need anything else!
