    Situation Is Getting Ridiculous
I told you about a forum I was on where I had received some unprovoked attacks then banned. This forum has since been closed (I did a little Cosmic Ordering lol - Cosmic Ordering - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )

Well the situation is getting ridicules and I would like your views on it if I may.

    I received this email -

    Dear Rose:

Just wanted to give you a heads up and let you know that the old "Nook" (for Non BPD'ers) has been dissolved and there is now a NEW "Nook" started by some of the survivors of that old place.

THENOOK - Index - Support and empathy for dealing with personality disordered family or significant other. - Free Message Board Hosting by FreePowerBoards.com

More than a few of us were upset when they banned you from the old place. You had some amazing insights and quite a unique perspective on things. I think you'd be a great addition to our new community! If you get the chance, please stop in and say hello!

    Denise

And I have since joined them. It now looks like I was only one of many to receive such bad treatment (abuse) from the moderators of the old forum.

The BIG issue is, when that one closed the mods decided to start their own. And the thing that is causing the BIG problem is they took everything from the old forum to the new forum including our (us banned ones) posts! The subject of the original forum was very sensitive and a lot of us posted feeling that we were in a safe place. Now they have moved everything and refuse to allow us to delete our personal stuff. A few people on the forum I was invited to join have decided to look into the legalities of this.

May I have your views on this. And any questions you might have that might make the whole situation clearer.

Anyone got an opinion on this situation?

I have no legal expertise, but my guess is that anything you posted on that board is the owner's property to do with as they please. "caveat postor"

I never put anything in an email or post to the net that I am concerned who might see it.

    Hello again, blue:

I think the ordinarydude has it right. Once you post on a site, the stuff you posted belongs to the site. The exceptions would be if the work was copy written and the site accepts copy written material, or if the material was plagiarized.

Of course, I could be wrong. Since when does an exconvict know of such high falooten stuff?

Thanks. I will go and try to placate some of my cyber friend over this issue. I already told then to let it go. They can't do anything with our posts, I told them that site is just becoming a trash can. Not sure if I helped.

Let me know if you have any other thoughts on this. I would just like to have some answers for my friends.
