Can I flush well to help buildup in copper pipes
Can I put something like white vinegar in my well and recirculate with outside hose, open faucets and allow it sit in pipes to help clear out some of the build up in pipes restricting water flow? My home is 12 years old. Water was tested when home was built and softener was not needed but there is some build up over time in shower heads, etc. We do flush hot water tank. Have notice drop in pressure. Bladder tank is OK.

You can try but in the end a repipe job is what you'll end up doing. Is it just the well that's affected or are there problems in the house piping as well? Back to you. Tom

I don't know that the well is affected.. pressure drop really only seems to be in the showers.. have replaced and cleaned shower heads several times but pressure is still not great. We don't have trouble with rust. Just some gray water very rarely and some white spotting in shower and bath if we don't keep up with it.
