You've been split up over two years... contracts at most are for 2 years... How did you get one for more than 2 years?

I am somewhat tired today so my psychic abilities have been a little cloudy. Maybe you could ask him why he is doing this.

Can't you just turn it in and go get your own phone on its own contract? At least you will get a new phone.

Right, I would just get myself a new phone and a new contract. Or even get a pay as you go phone. My wife has a Straight Talk that costs $45/month with unlimited calling/text/data.

Have your bank stop allowing the payments from your account. Show them the paperwork that you are separated.

If you have to change accounts (you can do it and stay with the bank)... do it... make sure your ex knows this. Tell him you have until a certain date... and those payments will stop. I would tell the Cell Phone company you will be doing this as well... and show them that you are separated and want this changed. If they won't put it in your name.. you will stop making the payments on it...

Maybe because it involves taking time out of his day? And he doesn't want to or can't. Honestly if he has another reason... only he could answer that.

Are you paying his cell bill too? That would seem to be the case if its on a contract with multiple phones. Its up to you to handle your business, no matter what his excuses, or motives are.
