I had my basement plumbed for a full bath during construction. So, I have a 2" pvc lav pipe coming out of concrete, next in line is the toilet pipe sticking out, then the shower/tub drain, it runs to the main under the slab. I have a 2" pvc vent that is capped and in between joists above and I know it runs straight up and through roof. So, I want to verify that I can tie the lav's trap into that vent line and that would vent all three fixtures/traps (dry, wet, and wet). Is that correct?

The existing vent pipe goes up through three stories (including attic). Is it all right that I will need to run my connection horizontally about 12 feet to connect to it? Or can I initially run it at 45 degrees (up between studs and concrete wall), then horizontally, parallel to joist, the remaining 6 ft to capped pipe?

Correct, tie the lavatory drain/trap into the 2" drain coming out of the floor and then run that 2" pipe over to the capped 2" "future vent" in the ceiling.

In terms of running the vent, just make sure that the pipe gets hung every 4 feet and that it pitches approximately 1/8" to 1/4" per foot of pipe from the future vent toward the drain pipe so that condensation/rain water can flow down the drain via gravity, OK?
