While just collecting some urine, I noticed a pubic hair in my collection cup, but removed it with my finger, before pouring my sample into the collection jug. Is my collection now considered contaminated, and should I dump it out and start over, tomorrow? While trying to find this answer on the internet I discovered things I was NOT told by my labs, like do not eat more than 8 oz of meat within 24 hours of taking the test, and do not do strenuous exercise, and I'd already mowed my front lawn. I don't know why my lab neglected to give me this info, but as I said, I am wondering if I should dump out and start again tomorrow?

Yes start over. The first flow of urine is sterile. Don't touch it next time, and don't worry about what they didn't tell you. You just have to be concerned about fasting or non fasting urine collection for testing.
