Can someone be pregnant and still have a normal mentraul cycle?
I have my mentraul cycle 2nd week of April, however I last have sex on May 19th, but only took a pregnancy test because I was feeling twice of heavy as usual, may be bloated. Test indicated that I might be pregnant. Strange.

What is strange is your having sex on May 19 and having a positive test since today is April 20th. If you had your cycle the second week of April, then it would be almost impossible to have a positive test at this time.

And no, if you understand what your menstrual cycle is, you would knowits not possible to be pregnant and have a normal cycle.

Or that you last had sex on May 19th, which is almost a year ago, and are testing positive now. Definitely some wrong information from the OP.

    Scott:

I Know what a mentrual cycle is, I am not a kid. See correction: Not May, but March 2013.

Sorry we don't delete posts. Nor do we need to be medical personnel to be able to answer.

If you know what your menstrual cycle is, you know it is the flushing of the uterine lining when an egg is not implanted. So if you had sex on Mar 19 and then had a normal period in mid April it is almost impossible that you are pregnant.

Plus HPTs are are only accurate in the second week AFTER you miss a period. So the answer is no, your symptoms are not likely to mean pregnancy.

Since you had a period, you are most likely not pregnant. Yes, I am a medical professional and the previous responses you received were correct.
