    2001 Toyota Camry starting problems
    Cut off while driving .act like it wants to start but not getting a connection.

    . Verify that the timing belt did not break.

    . Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

    . Check for codes.

    . Verify that the fuel pump runs, when the ignition switch is turned to ON.

    . Check/replace the coil, if the problem persists.

    . Check the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.

    Sounds like the timing belt has stripped out some of the teeth. Possibly the fuel pump. I'd start by checkng for spark then fuel pressure. Basic checks will get you in the right direction. Report back your findings.
