I am 19 years old and for the past 2 tears I have been to doctors with no answers plus emergency rooms. I have chronic ovary pain, horrible long heavy painful periods since I was little. I get migraines, mood swings with depression, muscle ache that feels like the flu.
I have done about 5 ultrasounds all normal.
Mri normal. I have a heart muurmur plus painful veins.
Ive tried birth control pills, one made the pain a bit better
Anti inflmatory drugs do not work!
All the doctors think I am too young for endometriosis but I think I have it!! I.cant stand this pain!!
I need help.
I get flare ups once in a while, the pain is worse week before my peeiod and it hurts to yrinate
Also yje pain is worse towards the end of the period.
Any andvice?

Did they check u for a ovarian cyst?

Please describe in more detail your heart murmur and painful veins (keeping in mind that we can give suggestions only, especially with your complicated history).

Yess they checked for ovarian cyst a bunch of times and only once they found one and it went away, but nothing really and the pain is always there with very paimful flare ups.
The heart murmur they found the past month and I have ny echogram soon. I also get palpitations and caffeine triggers all of that plus the veins pain. Arm and hand veins hhurt mostly they get very inflamed also
My legs and feet ( right side mostly wjere my ovary hurts). Aspirin helps but then it comes again. I get extreme mood swings and I just fimished a horrible week with migraines which cauded an eye blood vessel to burst and depressed moody week.
I have the pain now and its stinging achy pain
Feels lile a scar and knife in there.

Oh and sex hurts
Ive been with my serious boyfriend for 2 years and we don't have sex because of that, but just arousal or finger can trigger the pain.

Cyst don't go away, that was either a misdiagnosis or they are still there.
Veins do not hurt unless they thrombosis which can effect nerve cell surrounding veins. Caffeine nor your heart rate will affect such things. You should be able to see the vein that is hurting.
You are way to young to have endometriosis, unless you have had children and even then the chance is very small. If you don't plan on children a D&C with ablation may be a choice.

As far as mood swings, REALLY someone has to be defining this for you tell them to kiss you tail and move along.

Aspirin and menses is not a good combination don't use that use another nsaid.

The migraines are more than likely a product of the stress your putting yourself through relax and take it easy through that week.

Realize that we cannot diagnose online. If your doctors aren't finding anything, there's absolutely no way that we can tell you what's going on just by a description.

Having said that, I'd like to post a suggestion, a guess, but I can't stress enough that this is only a guess, not a diagnosis, and I'm not a doctor.

I went through the same thing from the time that I was 14 until the age of 20. Every period was extremely painful, sex wasn't painful, but it was uncomfortable. I'd have fevers when I had my period, flu like symptoms, and the pain was so bad that I ended up in the hospital more than a few times.

When I was 18 I decided to go on the pill, and at that time I went to a gynecologist for a pap smear (that was standard procedure to get on the pill) and he found a benign tumor on the inside wall of my vagina, and my cervix was misshapen.

I had the tumor cauterized, as well as my cervix. It took a few trips to my gyno, but after it was done, all my issues were as well. Since then my periods aren't painful anymore, nor is sex.

I realize you've had multiple tests done. Have you every had a simple pap smear?

I am not talking about pain eith period this pain is without period and worse at yhe end. I don't take aspirin with mu operiod I take them when my veins hurt Nd it relieves it.
And they have done about 5 ultrasounds + and mri and noot a pap smear yet. I get pmdd and then it goes away once period hits or days after.
The first gynocolist had a lap as a last option becaye he had the suspicion of endometriosis considerring my history

Cysts actually can go away - that was misinformation.

It is possible to have endometriosis your age. Mine started when I was 15. It wasn't properly diagnosed until I was 19 and nearly bled to death, ending up in the hospital.

Go to another doctor and insist they figure things out. Do not accept no answer. Interview the doctors before you decide to see them.

Tell them, "I have multiple medical issues. It is not emotional and is not imagined or exagerated. I'm being blown off and need someone to take me seriously. Will you be that doctor who will take me seriously?" Then hold them to it.

What were your symptims ans how does your pain feel like?? I have been needing to talk to someone lile you for a while!

Well, when I was a high school sophomore, my periods stopped and doctors would not take me seriously. They insisted I was pregnant, I'd tell them it was impossible and they'd test anyway, then say I was just young and it would straighten out. Now, in hindsight, I know I probably didn't have enough body fat - I was a competitive swimmer and many women athletes miss periods for that reason.

Then I quit swimming and gained a few pounds and wow - it was like the periods never stopped. I was as white as a ghost and was so anemic I was tested for leukemia (bone marrow test), heart disease and a bunch of other things - lupus, rheumatoid arthritis - they tested me for everything. I had a family history of endometriosis and kept telling them I had heavy periods that lasted forever, and they kept telling me it just "seemed like it" because I hadn't been having any before. I was like, "they last for three weeks, stop for a week and start again - this isn't normal". They ignored me all through high school. Every time I said I thought I had endometriosis, they told me it wasn't possible because I was too young.

When I was 19 and in college, I collapsed in the lobby of my dorm and was rushed to the hospital. I couldn't see or hear, I had lost so much blood. I could barely go to one class, I had been bleeding so much, but doctors at my university were also telling me nothing was wrong unless I was pregnant and having a miscarriage. I told them I was a virgin, they ran pregnancy tests at my expense without my consent. When the tests came back negative, they told me to eat more red meat and sent me back to my dorm.

In the hospital, a nurse listened to me and advocated for me with the doctor - at this point I was so weak I couldn't stand without assistance. They did a D&C to stop the bleeding and diagnosed the endometriosis - this was about 5 years after I first raised the concern that I had endometriosis.

Thereafter I had almost annual surgery to keep the bleeding, pain and scar tissue adhesions under control to preserve my fertility. I had a hysterectomy at 32, which was the best thing I ever did. I was not able to have a child, but that was because I have Rh negative blood and was not given Rhogam after my transfusions in high school and college. I did not know to demand it to prevent my body from rejecting my pregnancies - so, find out what your blood type is and make sure, if it is a negative type, you DEMAND rhogam immediately if you ever have a transfusion, miscarriage or successful pregnancy. Otherwise your body will develop antibodies which will reject pregnancy like a foreign intruder.

My story is not tragic though. I adopted a child who was meant to be mine. He is now 18 and heading to college on a full scholarship - the joy of my life.

Early on, my main symptoms were out of control periods, which ran my life in many ways and terrible fatigue because I was so anemic from the blood loss. I sometimes got kind of puffy looking in my face when I was not well - my mother always knew I was in trouble with my anemia before I did. After I got married, I sometimes had pain with intercourse. Mostly it was just a terrible nuisance. The day I had my hysterectomy was so empowering and freeing for me and for women who have struggled and are done having children, I'd highly recommend it.

There are other conditions that can cause symptoms like yours too, like poly cystic ovary syndrome, etc. If you suspect you know what it is, insist on being checked for it but also be open to other things. Thyroid issues - so many things - can cause your symptoms but they can be resolved and you don't have to put up with it.

If I was not so young and was less embarrassed, I would have been a lot more proactive, but I was so young - I just listened to the adults and lived in misery.

I am happy that you were able to.find relief an adopt a son, that's beautiful!

You claimed to be a Lawyer who attended the University of Kentucky on another thread (where you were wrong on most accounts)... now you are parading around dishing out Medical advice like you are a doctor... which you aren't.

And you are VERY wrong about endometriosis... because you DON'T have to have kids or be old to have it... any female old enough to have menstruation can suffer from it every month assuming they have the other factors present.

Having kids or being old are NOT two of them..

I gave you a greenie. I hope you get a thousand. I realize it isn't about greenies, and you are here able to tell women around the globe that abdominal PAIN does not equal HYSTERIA.
I was treated that way for over 30 years. My abdominal pain wasn't related to being female; it was my sacral nerve, and it took a chiropractor to diagnose it (despite the fact that I had zero back pain).

Sleepingless - I'd settle on one career, either medical or legal. At any rate please post your source that cysts don't go away. I have two sources: Ovarian Cysts - Amy E. Rosenman M.D. and personal experience.

And the pain of a cyst (or, even worse, cysts) is amazing. My pain radiated and I thought I was having a heart attack.

This is nothing, of course, to leave untreated.
