I had a sip of wine around midnight on Saturday/Sunday after being alcohol free for exactly a week. I have an ETG test around 8AM on Wednesday... will I pass? The cutoff is at 500. Also, does it matter my level of drinking before I abstained? I'm was not a heavy drinker, but would have a couple drinks a day. Thanks for your help.

Yes, alcohol is removed by the liver and kidneys at a rate of about 2% per hour. A sip of wine would not even show in the lab.

Alcohol being removed from your system is not the same as EtG being removed from your system.

To the OP... With the amount of time passed, you should be clear.

Wrong... Alcohol ISN'T "Removed" from your blood by the kidneys and liver... its metabolized by your body... or you would have alcohol in your urine.

You have made claims of being employed both as a lawyer and a Doctor... yet you don't know things this basic in nature in the medical field. But then... that's really obvious.
