I have a lien on my account for a rent in arrears case my Ex owes his landlord. I haven't lived with my Ex in years. I was never on the lease, but when I did live with him we submitted individual checks to pay rent. They have not put a lien on his accounts nor have they hit his credit report. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this situation? I wld like my credit report cleared and the lien taken off my account.

Do you mean a freeze on your account? The only way they get an attachment of your account is if they get a judgment. You need to get a copy of the writ from your bank and then go to court to get the writ vacated because you never lived at the address nor were you married to your ex at the time he lived there.
