The optimum time is 2 weeks after your period due date, assuming you miss your period. HPTs are less than 50% accurate during the 1st week and increase to over 90% accuracy at the end of the 2nd week.

You will have to first "miss" a period, then wait two weeks after your missed period. Have you missed a period?
