    Salmon and pregnancy
Is it safe to eat canned salmon if its fried? Like salmon cakes/patties while pregnant?

Why wouldn't it be? Make them with mashed potatoes!

    Hot Salmon Balls

    1 8-oz. can salmon, flaked
    1 c. mashed potatoes
    1 tbsp. grated onion
    ¼ c. finely minced celery
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    ¼ tsp. salt

Mix all of the above together thoroughly. Make walnut-size balls, and roll in 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs. Sauté in hot drippings (Crisco) until golden brown on all sides, or bake at 375F for 10-15 minutes. Makes about 2-1/2 dozen.
