3.9 89 Dodge Dakota usually starts well but may stall and be difficult to restart. Have replaced coil and spark plug wires also disconnected EGR valve. The problem is it dies while idling. Any ideas on how to stop this from happening?

Try replacing the Ignition Control Module:
Zip Code Entry at PartsAmerica.com
Could you please tell me where on the truck that part is located?
Should be reasonably close to the distributor. Follow wiring from distributor and it should lead into it.
Hey Texas, Does the Mass Air Flow sensor have carb linkage attached to it? I want to clean this but not sure where it is located??
Thanks
No carburetor linkage attached to it, just an electrical connector.
