How Can I get him out of the house?
Here's my problem. My husband and I have decided that we are going to get a separation. My husband has moved all of his belongings out of our house. He has not helped me pay any bills in over 4 months, house payment, child expenses, power bill, etc. I had my lawyer draw up separation papers, but he will not sign them. He is still living in our house, but not helping pay for anything. I am working my tail off to afford this on my own, and he is being a butt and not signing the papers. How is that fair to me or our child? How do I get him out of the house legally? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You have an attorney, right? Get him to get a restraining order.

I agree with scottgem... get some legal help. This guy is dragging his feet and dragging you down. Hope it works out for you.

I do have an attorney. When I went for my 1st consultation, I was under the impression that this was going to be a non-contest divorce, so my lawyer had the same impression, because my husband had agreed that he would sign these papers stating that I would not try to get him for abandonment, now he is throwing every other excuse in my face as to why he is not going to sign them. He is supposed to be out by this Saturday, but after that, Im not sure what I need to do next. He is making my life miserable.

    Thank you for your comments.

Hi my exhusband did this to me, I changed the locks on him in the end when he was out of the house I did so with a silent nod from my solicitor that it was OK to do so.He had been going through my things including my phone, post and even burnt my clothes life really did get rough. However he has now disappeared off the face of the earth other than when he waits outside every Saturday to take our children out for the day.A joke considering he still ignores all letters and contact from the solicitor a year on.my solicitor now tells me that that will serve him the papers by surpinor and then proceed with the divorce with or without his consent. Good luck!
