You have a B&S 31C707 3446-G2 orG6. First part means it is 31 cu. in. C series and 707 describes the carb, bearings and starter, as to say it is plain bearings, normally aspirated and electric start. Does it give a click when turned to On? Most will and that is the fuel-shut-off solenoid (a common culprit.) Does it knowingly have ignition (a bad ignition ground that prevents fire at On (switch problem) would be that.
The problem introduces many possible factors and the engine is exclusively Craftsman and not available by the numbers I have.
