Too many hoses under the sink..
Here is a picture of the hoses under my sink. My dishwasher is leaking, but it seems that there is an extra hose for the garbage disposal and a loop of long hose that may belong to the dishwasher. Can I cut this dishwasher hose so there is not so much extra. I am thinking there is too much water left in coiled white hose and it backs up and leaks underneath the dishwasher.

Your leak has nothing to do with how much hose is there, You could have 50 feet of hose coiled up there and it shouldn't leak a drop.

You need to look closely at all the points where the hoses all connect. Where exactly are you getting the leak?

The leak is coming from under the dishwasher after the complete cycle is finished, I will notice a small pool of water on the hardwood floor.

Have you checked the door seal on the dishwasher... looking for wear.. damage.. or something even stuck to it preventing a seal.

    How old is this dishwasher?

Yup! Check the door seal, for sure. Here, stick paper towels around the door seal if needed.

Otherwise, take the access door off the bottom front, get a flashlight and look for and determine exactly where the leak is coming from.

    Good luck!

FYI: you have just enough "hoses" you need. I see 2 water supplies, 1 DW supply, 2 DW discharge pipe, 1 faucet pull-out spout hose + drains and electrical. Nothing extra, nothing is missing.

    Back to you / Milo
