Can anyone give me advice to get thick cat hair off a carpet. The carpet type is quite flat and over the years cats hairs have ground in . The hoover takes off the surface hairs but looking closely there are loads. My cat also hates being brushed ,hence the hairs. Has anyone got advice on my two problems? Thank you.

A good steam cleaning would release the hairs in the carpet, to be vacuumed up after carpet is dry. Keep insisting on brushing your cat. He/she will eventually like it, or you are always going to have this problem.
