I am taking Ativan which is why this concerns me so much. I was two weeks late on my period and then finally started. I have two children so I know all of the pregnancy symptoms which I was having before I started. I have also miscarried and know the signs of that as well. This seems to be a normal period but it stopped two days ago and then today it is back on. My breast are still really sore and full feeling. I had negative tests before my period started. Could I still be pregnant? My main concern is you are not to take ativan while pregnant. Thanks in advance!

I would stop taking that and make an appointment with your doctor asap.

False positive/false negative readings are not unusual. I would say from the bleeding pattern that you are probably not pregnant BUT I certainly would ask my Physician.

This medication can, of course, cause birth defects so you you probably should be using 2 forms of birth control.
