Flooded crawl space with vapor barrier
In the process of fixing a slow bath tub drain, I managed to release about 20 gallons of water on top of the vapor barrier covering the bare ground under my crawl space. I cannot reach the water with my shop vac. Can I simply put a couple of slits in the moisture barrier low spots to drain the water into the ground?

    Thank you,

    Eric

Better to put a fan under the house and let it evaporate. Cutting the barrier negates it's purpose.

I'd cut the slits, drain the water and tape the slits back up after it drys out. Good luck, Tom

Thank you! I wouldn't have thought of taping the slits back up. -Eric-

Thanks. I think I will cut a few 2 inch slits and then tape shut with duct tape when drained and dry. The crawl space was dry as an attic when I started.
