Have two house guests who have become hostile and won't leave
My grand daughter is unmarried with 4 little kids.. 1 is autistic. I bought a reposed
House and have let her and her kids live there without rent. She is going to have
A operation for cancer in two weeks. A couple she called friends offered to help
Her with the kids, etc while she recovers. There was a falling out and the couple
Who now have keys to the house, refuse to leave. They are very intimidating and
Threaten to sue me and blackmail her re: personel issues and my house. They
Refuse to leave. I told them that my house is not a rental but a 2nd house and they
Did not have my permission to move in. The police act like they take their side and
Tell my grand daughter to back off and leave them alone in her house.

Go to court and get an eviction order. The police won't act unless they have the court order.

In the meantime, also report any and all threats and acts of intimidation by these individuals to the police and bring proof that you own the house. You may be able to get a restraining order against them that would require them to leave your property.

First, any question on law needs your general local as laws vary by area.

Second how long have they been there. Usually it doesn't take long to establish residence in a home. Once residency has been established, they have all the protections of tenants. So you have to go through the legal process to evict them.
