    Just started.
Me and my girlfriend have been going out for about a week now. We have shown a real connection between each other since the day we met. I am in year 8 and she is in year 7 and lately I've had to do a few assignments and other tasks and I haven't been able to spend that much time with her. Should I try explain what is happening? Does she think I'm ignoring her? Please help because I think she might be upset.

If you two have such a connection I am sure she will know you have work to do and you can't be with her 24/7 if she asks just tell her the truth and envite her round or something so you can still spend time together.

You are both young and probably inexperienced. The best thing to do in this situation is talk to her, no relationship will work if you don't talk. Just tell her how you feel and that you have a lot of school work on, and I'm sure she will understand. At the end of the day you should not be getting into any serious relationship at this age, and remember your schooling years are the most important so WORK has to come FIRST. There are always solutiosn though. You could set so many hours per night to do work and so many to see her. Or you could even have a couple of nights together and both do your homework together and then have an hour or so break where you can spend some time together. Either way you MUST talk to her and tell her your problems, you cannot keep things bottles up inside when it comes to relationships, you need to remember there's two involved in a relationship at all times!
