Hello. I'm not sure of my last menstral or when I conceived however I went to the er on January 19th 2013 and I was told after an ultrasound I was 13 weeks exactly so I was just wondering how far along in my pregnancy does that make me today as of April 7th 2013

No paternity would never be in question for me. I just don't know how to add pregnancy weeks and months because its added differently that's all.

Conception and due date calculation is an inexact science. You are somewhere around 21 weeks give or take 2 weeks.

If you were at 13 weeks on January 19, to figure out how far along you are from there, you just look at a calendar - start counting at 13 on January 19, and continue counting weeks from there on.

What confuses many women is that we assume that pregnancy begins with conception. Actually, the beginning of pregnancy is considered to be the first day of the cycle in which the woman gets pregnant. So, if the last day of her period were December 31 and her next cycle began the next day on January 1, then she conceived on or about January 14th - the first day of her pregnancy would be considered January 1.

This confuses a lot of women. They hear "you're six weeks pregnant" and they count back six weeks to figure out when they conceived. More likely, they conceived closer to 4 weeks ago. Does that make sense?

Yes I think I know exactly what your saying I counted and according to my calculations I will be 26 weeks on the 13th of this month. Yayyyy and THANK YOU SO MUCH
