No remote for ceiling fan in house I moved into
Can't find the manufacturer - no switch on fan to change blade direction for summer cooling. This is only information I have:
    Made In China
    E75795 "YL"
    Model: AC-552"TT"
    Date: 1203
    Vendor: 11289
    UPC#792145350224

Any chance this will get me to the remote I need to purchase?

The fan is 12.5 yrs old. You can buy nice ceiling fans for <$75 today. Easier than looking for a remote. Even if you buy a universal remote, it may or may not work and you will need to partially disassemble the fan to get to the receiver. Please do not put emails in your post, never know who will be looking!

I have the same fan, and the same problem. No remote with the house. Now my house is not 12 years old, it is less than five and every light fixture in the home is the same fixture type as the fan. The builder must have got a deal on the fixtures for the track. My problem... I can not use this fan in the summer because I can't seem to reverse the direction.

Looking up the UPC shows this is a Hampton Bay fan.
If you do get a remote, then you'll need to match it to the receiver (or replace the fan's receiver), and as ma0641 says, this is a fair amount of work on an old fan.

    Best of luck,
