    Salary labor laws
I work for a company that has changed requirements for my position, requiring more education. All new hires will receive a higher wage. Those of us who have been there for years are being grandfathered and are not required to receive additional education and will stay at a lower wage.
However some of us, being me, meet all new educational requirements but will still not receive wage increase as new hires will. Is this legal.

Is it legal? Its possible. Have you asked for a raise based on your current credentials? Are you being discriminated against other then the feeling that your being left out?

Do you have the exact credentials specified in the requirements for the new positions? Could you have applied for one of the new positions or are they only hiring from outside the company?
Only applicable form of discrimination of the type usually handled by the EEOC would be age if that could be claimed (unless there is more to the story).
