    Plumbing help
There is a loud Hawaiian conch shell horn like sound every day emanating
From our master bathroom sink pipes. We have two pedestal sinks and it only comes out of the one. It starts, it seems, when the outdoor sprinklers go on, maybe. It stops if we turn the sink faucet on a little and let the water trickle. It stops every time we turn on the cold water. In about ten minutes we can turn the faucet off and all good. But it goes off like a Hawaiian torch lighting ceremony twice a day so it is getting old and I am wishing I was in Hawaii. We have resisted calling a plumber because we are totally strapped for cash right now. Any easy answers besides tear open the drywall and replace all our pipes?

You have a loose washer in the cold water line. Most likely the faucet stop valve that you turn on to make the noise stop. Simple fix. Replace the stop valve.

Fantastic, thank you very much, much appreciated. I will get on it immediately. Why didn't I go on this site earlier. Thank you!

Try to Close and Open (all the way) hot and cold angles stops. See if the noise continues. (Angle stops are the supply valves under the sink with water supplies attached to them)

    Back to you / Milo
