My daughter is now 8 months old. I am a working lady and my daughter stays with my mother in law when I am at ofice. My mother in law has shifted to our place to take care of her. My daughter is very well behaved when I am away and doesn't seem to miss me. Now my mother in law is insisting on taking her to her original home where my father in law stays for 10 days or so. My concern is whether my daughter would stay happily 10 days without me. Is she going to miss me. Generally she needs me at night when she goes to bed and greets me very happily in the morning.

I'm sure your daughter will be fine, but will you? Be prepared that she will go to your mil more often and prefer her if they are together a lot.

Thanks for the reply. I think I really need to learn to say No. My daughter has just started recognixing me but still she goes to my MIL a lot, sometimes prefres her over me. My MIL is insisting on taking her like anything and I am not getting any support from my husband too. Please suggest what do I do?

If you do not want this, just say NO, and make other arrangements for child care
