When we open our refrigerator door half way, it continues to swing out and crash into our counter. It actually picks up speed on its own. I have tried the door adjustment screw but no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like the refrigerator could be out of level. Put a level on the top. Should be level across the top and level or slightly tilted back.
