I have a oil painting on canvas of three scout's by artise L. Wilbur 1948

OK, so what do you want to do next ? Sell it?

It's nearly impossible to find information on a painting online, even with the artists name.

I googled and found a Lawrence Wilbur, but the only two painting that came up where not anything like what you described.

Your best bet is to take it to an art dealer. They'll be able to tell you more than you'll ever find online.
