I'm getting a tonsillectomy in the end of May and on the sheet they gave me it says to quit smoking. I did quit regular cigarettes but continue to smoke electronic cigs. Is this OK? Or will there be complications?

Supposedly safe to use but studies have showed they effect the airways. Here is only one website on Google that explains, there are more.
Medicalxpress.com/... /2012-01-e-cigarettes-affect-users-airways.html
The site didn't work... my airway is already blocked basically because of my enlarged tonsils so would it make a difference? I also don't smoke as often. When I did smoke regular cigs, I would have a pack for a week and half only smoking two or three a day. With an electronic cigarette it is even less.
There are multiple sites on Google for this. You can read them all and make your own decision.
The one I offered is on there as well.
If your airways are already blocked you may be doing other damage; do you really need this pacifier?
