Sometimes I can't get connect to the internet even though I'm connected?
I have two connection questions for two different wireless connections.

I have a couple of internet connections I use and but sometimes I connect to one and it shows me connected but the packets are not receiving? They are sent but not receiving. I believe that is the problem with that connection. But it's only sometimes, as sometimes it works perfectly fine and I receive packets.

I also have another connection that won't even connect at all. It's an open connection and it shows up on my computer but when I click to connect it tries but nothing happens at all and no connection takes place. It's always been spotty as sometimes it will let me on and other times nothing happens at all when I hit connect. It hasn't worked for the last week but then it mysteriously worked yesterday but not again today.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Where are the locations of your routers? I assume you have two in your location which are both connected on separate connections to the Net?

If the connections work sporadically it could be that you are too far away from the routers!

Do you have permission to connect to these networks. If not, then you should not try.

Sounds to me like you are trying to piggy back on your neighbors connections which may be illegal. Especially without permission.

The network you can't connect to is probably secured using MAC filtering. On the other one, there could be a number of reasons you might stop receiving for a time.
